A WORD FROM THE WISE – TRAVEL TIPS FROM FLIGHT ATTENDANTS

“Sleep when you’re tired, eat when you’re hungry.” – Christie, SEA based.

“Pack slippers because Airbnbs can be dirty.” – Vina, ORD based.

“Whenever traveling to a different time zone, immediately put yourself in that time frame, even if it means pushing through exhaustion. Because then when it is time to go to sleep, you can have a full night’s rest and then be ready to go and fully on that time zone without the jet lag.” – Sean, SEA based.

“Bring snacks!!!!!” – Lindsey, ANC based.

“Pack snacks, bring your sleep kits (eye mask and neck pillow). Plan travel around an event, a race or concert or festival.” – Megan, SEA based.

“Try not to stress about the small things. Getting there is the hardest part! Drink water. Eat your veggies. Smiles go a long way!” – Allie, LAX based.

“Be prepared! Keep a small bag that fits under your seat for easy access with a pen, water bottle, and big scarf to use as a blanket.” – Amber, SEA based.

“Travel light.” – Marina, HKG based.

“Say yes! Try everything, do everything, and don’t hold back! Also, drink water and utilize melatonin. And find travel companions! Cause they elevate every experience and make it even more memorable.” – Kristina, SAN based.

“Always pack a cocktail dress and a pair of heels. You just never know.” – Fay, SEA based.

“Always keep a small bag with headphones, Advil, toothbrush and paste, moisturizer, etc. with you that you can keep under your seat so you don’t have to dig things out of your bigger bag (if it wasn’t checked). I like to do this since I like window seats. I don’t have to disturb others.” – Josh, SEA based.

“I always have a change of clothes in my carry on bag (I’ve been spilled on or had ‘misplaced’ luggage several times and that has totally saved me! Also I (almost) always have my hydroflask on me to cut down on single use plastics and I #FillBeforeIFly” – Justin, SEA based.

“Use packing cubes. I’m the messiest with my clothes and it keeps me organized, even once I get to my destination.. and they keep me from overpacking!” – Vanessa, SFO based.

“Always bring your own hand soap and hand lotion.” – Ashley, SEA based.

“Bring your own healthy snacks and water bottle to fill up past security.” – Shelby, SFO based.

“Travel light by wearing Merino wool and be flexible.” – Sean C., SEA based.

“Show up early. I’d rather enjoy a drink before a flight instead of stressing out in rushing to your flight. Travel can be so unpredictable these days. I think in general, try to incorporate my daily habits into travel. So I can enjoy traveling without feeling any ‘guilt’.” – Rosella, SEA based.

“Less is MORE. When I flew to Greece from my honeymoon, I was fully prepared. Fuzzy socks, toothbrush, mouth wash, eye mask, neck pillow, headphones, snacks, a tablet, the whoolleeee meal deal. Once I sat in my tiny seat I quickly realized i brought WAY too much. Now I know to condense and only bring what I really need! Not only do you have more space around you having not brought as much, but you’re less likely to forget things on the plane! I bring my water bottle, headphones, tablet, a snack or two and call it good!” – Jane, SEA based.

“Treat others with respect. Kindness goes a long way. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.” – Victor, SFO based.

“For health: Vitamin C. In general: get a massage right before a long flight, don’t plan your entire trip out, spend time every day at a cafe and people watch.” – Patty, SEA based.

“Take the local bus and talk to locals always. On the bus, in stores, everywhere. They will tell you secret places and unique things to see.” – Sarah, ANC based.

“Layer. [for the plane] and bring chapstick.” – Celina, SEA based.

“RESERVE your meals! So helpful on both ends!” – Justine, PDX based.

“Utilize your pockets in the TSA line. If you’re wearing a jacket, vest, or hoodie, throw all those electronics/odds and ends in those pockets. That way, when you get to the front of the line, you can just put your vest/hoodie/jacket thing in the bin and then take it out and run for that flight you’re probably late to.” – Khai, SEA based.

“Smart and light packing. Trust your gut.” – JS, FRA based.

“It’s a part of travel but my best tip would be NOT to put our suitcase on your bed when packing. The wheels are soooo gross!!” – Suzanne, SEA based.

You heard it hear first! All the love and safe travels!

WHAT I’VE LEARNED LIVING ALONE

Me? Living alone? HA. That would’ve been the joke of the century only just last year. I’ve always relied on my family and friends for support – which is perfectly normal and acceptable, except that I also leaned on them when I was lost in my own city. 3AM phone calls because Maps wasn’t cooperating. I WAS THAT FRIEND. I decided to live on my own when I gained the confidence with my job as a flight attendant. It’s the most amazing thing I have gained, ever, and I just wanted to share some of the things I’ve learned since.

  • No one cares if your dishes and silverware don’t match. It’s quirky, and fun, so save your money and let go of the stress.
  • Location is key. Living somewhere that brings you so much joy is crucial.
  • Find your community. Whether it’s your gym, work place, coffeeshop, or book club. Find em and cherish em.
  • Your friends love you and want to hangout with you. But YOU need to be the one to initiate it sometimes. I actually learned this when I started flying and noticed my friends were hanging out without me because they never knew when I was home or flying!
  • THRIFT YO SHIT. I thrifted my pantry organizers (storage cubes, shelf risers, jars, etc), some furniture, baskets, bakeware, mixing bowls, and plant pots, and saved so much money. Buy Nothing Facebook groups, Craigslist, and Facebook marketplace are also worth checking out!
  • Investment pieces should be items you will need when you eventually move out. IE: bed, mattress, some furniture, TV.
  • Change doesn’t happen overnight. Your place doesn’t need to look perfect right after moving in. In fact, 4 months later and I still don’t have anything hung up on my walls. Cut yourself some slack.
  • Using Instagram and Pinterest as inspiration is fun, but can set unrealistic expectations. Work within your means and do the best you can to create a cozy space for YOU.
  • Having a small space has some perks – like sweeping taking a total of 10 minutes.
  • Having a dog helps with loneliness. Same with plants.
  • Accept loneliness and know that you are NOT ALONE in feeling that way. Also learned this with my flying gig.
  • When the loneliness kicks in, get out. Go outside. Recharge with the outdoors. I also feel great being surrounded by people (even though they are strangers and even when I’m not speaking to anyone) in places like coffeeshops, the library, the park, and grocery stores.
  • Making the bed is the most adulting thing you could ever do, especially since you’re not doing it for anyone else. Do it for you.
  • Meal prep with or for friends to save some money. And that way, you won’t get sick of the same meals.
  • You’re just gonna have to ask people to take their shoes off if you want them off. Just gotta do it.
  • It’s okay if it doesn’t feel like home just yet. What makes it feel home is the time spent with your friends and family in your space. Creating memories. Sleepovers. Dance parties. Movie nights. The corner where your first Christmas tree was. This is probably the most important thing I realized.

If you’re living alone too, props to you. It’s not always easy, but damn does it feel good to come home to your own slob and decorate your sanctuary to be 100% YOU. All the love.

POST FLIGHT SELF CARE

Traveling is probably my most favorite thing to do in the world, but flying is EXHAUSTING. As a flight attendant, I fly more than the average person and after years of doing this, I’ve finally figured out what works for me. I am also going to be sharing ideas via my Instagram friends too!

  • Going outside for some fresh air. I always feel so much better going outside after a long flight! Think about that recycled air – yikes!
  • Grounding. This is a new concept for me, but I am loving it! Grounding means to walk around outside BARE FOOT. Sounds weird, but it’s seriously the coolest and most relaxing feeling.
  • Hydrate. I like to stay hydrated while I fly, and luckily enough, being stuck in the middle or window seat is not an issue. Just remember to continue drinking water post flight because flying is super wearing on your body! The best way to “detox” is to hydrate. You don’t need fancy wellness shots, I swear.
  • Stay active while still listening to my body. After flying, most days I crave a walk or a good sweaty workout in the gym. Other days, I just want to crawl into bed. I try my best to honor my body.
  • Eating a nourishing meal and anti-inflammatory foods. Flying can mean snacking on things you don’t usually eat, and THAT’S OKAY. But after flying, I like to try and make sure that I am taking care of my body by consuming foods that make me FEEL GOOD. For me, that’s hydrating foods (cucumber, tomatoes, watermelon) and anti-inflammatory foods (greens, veggies cooked with turmeric and black pepper, nuts). I also love having smoothies after flights because it’s easier to digest.
  • Gua sha! I love to gua sha every morning but lately I’ve been using my gua sha after flights as well. It gives me a good reason to wash my face, apply nourishing skin serums and oils, then giving my face a little TLC. Gua sha is known to relieve pain, tension, and puffiness!

Other suggestions via IG friends:

  • “I drink a lot of coconut water to replenish electrolytes lost from working! And take a hot shower and relax with essential oils”
  • “Go to the gym and sweat it all out!”
  • “Throw on a face and hair mask, dance it out, journal, and hot shower”
  • “Epsom salt bath and legs up on the wall. Non negotiable”
  • “Shower and then read a good book”
  • “HYDRATE. And shower”
  • “Put on fresh sheets if I’m going home!!”
  • “Go for a long walk outdoors”
  • “I drink sooo much water when I get home after my trips and try to do yoga or exercise!”
  • “Wine. Lots of it.” (same)
  • “Shower!! I always feel so greasy after flights especially long ones”
  • “Thinking about what’s good to eat there!!” (also same)
  • “Drink loads of water and use rose toner spray. Eeeeks dry skin”
  • “Cryotherapy- esp helps with jet lag”
  • “Shower and skin care routine!”
  • “Sleep. I also like journaling and meditating, and skincare”
  • “Immediately unpack, do laundry, and get things put back where they belong”
  • “Take a nap! Because I probs needed 2 Xanax and a wine to get on the plane in the first place” (lol you go brave little toaster!)
  • “Def get fresh air, try to put my toes in the sand/ocean”

Hope this helps, my little gypsies! Safe travels and all the love.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT MUST HAVES (FOOD/HEALTH)

We all know how exhausting flying can be. Imagine doing it for a living!! Yep, I chose this life and I have no regrets. But that doesn’t mean I don’t get tired, fatigue, or jet lagged. There is no magic pill when it comes to traveling and every trip is different. Here are some things I like to keep on hand to make life a little easier, smoother, and more stress-free.

  • coffee – 3am wake ups are no joke. I love Bulletproof’s cold brew because it’s convenient, hassle free, SUGAR FREE but still tasty, and their packaging is recyclable which is super important to me.
  • greens – preferably in tabs because they pack well. I love the ones from Amazing Grass!
  • collagen sticks – I take collage daily because it helps with my joints (I like to run and do HIIT workouts) and because I open so many soda cans, I need my nails to be hella strong.
  • ginger and peppermint tea – both aid digestion. Flying always throws my digestion off.
  • healthy snacks – this goes without saying. Fruits, veggies, nuts, the less processed the better! But sometimes I will opt for a high fiber, high protein bar with low sugar.
  • charcoal pills – helps with bloating on the plane.
  • propolis throat spray – to help prevent sickness! I use it the second I feel off.
  • apple cider vinegar – so many benefits to taking ACV daily! I always have some in a little reusable jar.
  • adaptogens – I love carrying ashwagandha on me. It really helps me cope with stress!

*pro tip: stay hydrated, chew slowly, avoid carbonated beverages, and only eat when you’re hungry to avoid bloat! Our bodies bloat naturally when we fly but doing these things will prevent from maximum bloatage.

Hope you found this useful! All of the love and safest of travels!

FLIGHT ATTENDANT FAQ

Since starting Kale in the Clouds, I’ve received so many messages about my job. I absolutely love being a flight attendant, but it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. I am getting REAL with you with this Q+A and I hope that this can help you in some way! Feel free to comment or DM me on my Instagram account if you have more follow up questions. I’d be so happy to answer them for you!

How did you become a flight attendant?

Everything happened super fast! I submitted an application online after my friend told me about it. Within a week or so, I scheduled a phone interview. Immediately after the phone interview, I received an e-mail to schedule an in person interview. The in person interview was none like any other interview I’ve ever been to. I showed up along with 60 other applicants. There were 3 interviews that day and as the day went on, the numbers of applicants went down. At the end of the day, about 15 of us were hired!

How long have you been doing this?

I’ve been flying for 3 years.

Do you fly international routes?

With my airline, I’ve worked flights to Canada and Mexico. We also fly to Costa Rica!

How many days do you fly a week?

Because of my flexible schedule, I can fly as often or as little as I want. I don’t have a “typical” schedule because some months I work A LOT whereas some other months, I have travel plans so I’ll work less!

What’s it like being a flight attendant?

It’s amazing, crazy, tiring, fulfilling, busy, and testing. As tired as I get and as much as it can wear my immune system down, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The opportunities are endless with this job and the flexibility in schedule it allows is incredible too!

Do you have a makeup for tattoo cover that you’d recommend?

I use Estée Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover to cover my tattoos when I’m working.

Do you get to pick where you’re based?

When you first start, they ask you for a preference. This doesn’t guarantee your first base of choice. Depending on your preferred base, you may need to wait awhile before you are able to get in. Luckily, I got Seattle after just one month of flying!

How much notice do you get before you fly?

When you’re on reserve, you may get a 2 hour call out but usually  you find out before then when they need you. Now that I am a line holder, I get to put my own schedule together and I’m able to decide a month in advance what trips I want to work.

Even on reserve, are you able to find a healthy work/life balance or are you chained to waiting for a phone call?

Oh, reserve life! I was definitely chained to my phone for the first 6 months – just super paranoid about missing a phone call. Then, I was able to transition to going to the gym with my phone volume on high as I waited for a call. I do want to touch on balancing my social life though because that was HARD. Being on the go so often, it’s hard to watch your friends at home hangout without you. I learned that I had to be really proactive about reaching out to people and making sure they knew I was home instead of sitting on my bum and being butt hurt seeing them hangout without me on Instagram. Also, SLEEP. Sleep whenever you get a chance! You’ll learn that it’s actually so important and easily neglected when you first start flying.

Does your airline give you a stipend when you stay somewhere in between flights?

Hotel is paid for and with my airline, you do get a stipend!

What’s your typical work day like?

I get to the airport, check in on my work device, go through security, and check in with the gate agents. When I get on the plane, I put my stuff away and start checking to make sure all of the emergency equipment is good to go. When all of the flight attendants are on board, we introduce ourselves and brief our positions and typically the Captain will come introduce himself and tell us more details about the flight. Boarding happens pretty quickly after that, and before you know it, we’re off! Duties on the plane are different depending on which position you’re working.

How do you deal with jet lag and different time zones?

Jet lag is so real. 3 years in and it still doesn’t get much easier! I try to stay in the pacific time zone no matter where I am because my layovers usually aren’t very long. This means going to bed SUPER early when I fly east coast routes so I can get up earlier for that 7am EST departure.

How do you stay calm and continue to do your job when it’s turbulent?

I feel super lucky because turbulence doesn’t bother me. With that said, it’s easy for me to stay calm. However, when it gets to a point where we’re in the middle of service and it gets too bumpy, I usually go with my gut and speak up to other crew members. For the most part, we’ll be on the same page and pause service if it gets too bumpy. Safety first!

What is your brand of skillet that you travel with?

Nesco and I got it on Amazon!

What is your brand of lunch cooler?

It’s a Strongbag and I highly recommend it!

What kind of food can I pack? What can’t I pack?

You can pack so many good eats when you’re traveling! Salads, macro bowls, burritos, fries, roasted veggies, a sandwich, you name it! Just be cautious about packing salad dressing, guac, yogurt, premade oats, nut butters, anything with a cream or liquid consistency is a possible no-no depending on how strict TSA at your airport is.

Any tips for a traveler trying to stay healthy on the go?

  • ask your flight attendant for hot lemon water! it will help aid your digestion while flying
  • you can get free salad dressing past security at any restaurant in the airport
  • pack your own food and snacks because eats at the airport can get spendy
  • bring your daily vitamins and supplements with you! try to maintain consistency when you’re traveling
  • bring a reusable water with you and fill it up every time you see a water fountain or coffeeshop at the airport
  • pack greens tabs with you! these are the ones I use and love
  • other goodies to consider packing: collagen peptides sticks, apple cider vinegar shots, nut butter packs, matcha collagen travel packs
  • great on the go snacks: fruit, Perfect Bars, Simple Mills crackers, veggies and hummus, popcorn, dried fruit, nuts, bliss balls, protein bars, dark chocolate (I love Honey Mamas and Eating Evolved coconut butter cups)
  • pack some workout bands for at home pilates/barre in your hotel room

Pros:

  • having such a flexible schedule
  • the travel benefits
  • meeting the most amazing people of all different backgrounds
  • going to work in a good mood because I genuinely love what I do
  • LOVING WHAT I DO
  • getting to see so much of the world
  • the amount of money you save on gas
  • free parking at the airport
  • getting to help others when they’re nervous to fly
  • getting to make someone’s day (traveling is stressful! sometimes all someone needs is an extra glass of OJ and to know everything will be okay.)
  • free therapy sessions via the jump seat
  • getting paid to travel
  • getting to pack over 3 oz. liquids when traveling
  • so much me time
  • getting to stay in boujee hotels
  • getting so much vitamin D when it’s raining/snowing at home

Cons:

  • stomach/digestion issues (I take probiotics, triphala, and digestive enzymes to aid my gut)
  • lack of sleep/short layovers
  • the feeling of not having a grasp of life balance
  • lack of social life with friends and family at home when you start flying
  • schedules/routine goes out the door when you start reserve
  • when food goes bad because you don’t have a fridge in the hotel

DEAR ANXIOUS FLYER,

It’s that time of year again. You’ve got your flights booked, your bags packed, and you know you should be excited to head home and to see your family, but sometimes that’s not always the case. If you think you’re weird for being an anxious flyer, you’re not. You are not alone. It’s a fear that is more common than I realized before I became a flight attendant. As someone who thrives off of taking care of others, I genuinely enjoy helping people stay relaxed and have a more enjoyable flying experience. It’s not always easy and every person is different. I try my best to be very understanding and compassionate. But because I know I can’t personally help every single person out there, I thought writing this post could help guide you in the right direction. Please also feel free to pass it onto any friends, family members, or anyone you know who is afraid of flying or has anxiety over flying.

TELL SOMEONE

I know it’s scary to be vulnerable, but please try your best to work up the courage to tell your neighbor or at least one flight attendant about your anxiety or fear of flying. I promise we will try our best to help you any way we can. Whenever I’ve had anxious flyers who made it known that they were nervous about taking off, I would make it a point to check in with him/her throughout the flight. I pay special attention to passengers who need it, whether that be providing a glass of water after takeoff or offering casual conversation as a distraction.

TRY MEDITATION

Meditation has been known to help relieve stress and anxiety for years. It’s no different on the plane! I would highly suggest that as soon as you get settled in your seat, immediately putting on your headphones and closing your eyes. Whether you use an app (Headspace is a great one) or simply play nature sounds or music, start meditating. I find that a lot of anxiety around traveling can stem from the madness of the airport, not just flying alone. As soon as you’re able to clear your mind and shake off the stress of TSA and running to your gate, just breathe, relax, and be present. This would also help immensely prior to taking off, which could be a scary feeling for nervous flyers.

COME PREPARED

I know those little seats on the plane don’t allow a ton of room for activities, BUT I would highly recommend packing a book you’ve been excited to read, your iPad or laptop for movies, your phone with a playlist of your favorite or new songs, etc. The airline I work for offers free movies and TV shows on all mobile devices, which is pretty amazing! But just in case the flight you’re on doesn’t offer those amenities, just make sure you have something to do! Other cool things I’ve seen people do on the plane: knitting, cross stitching, coloring, card games. Not recommended: yoga in the galley.

BRING COMFORT ITEMS

Whether it’s your favorite blanket or a picture of your dog. Bring a piece of home with you that will make you feel cozy and comforted. We sometimes underestimate the power of comfort items! As you might know, essential oils are all the rage right now but for great reason! There are some scents that have been known to help us relax: lavender, rose, chamomile, frankincense, ylang ylang, and bergamot are all great options! I just purchased a peppermint one last week (’cause ’tis the season) and personally, I find that it really relaxes me, if you want to give that a try too!

KEEP A TIMER

This might help for some people and might not for others, but keeping a timer is worth a shot! Personally, I like to know how much time is left in the flight. From a flight attendant’s perspective, it’s a gage for when we need to go out with our inflight service. From a passenger’s perspective, it’s comforting to know that landing is just another episode of Spongebob away.

WRITE A LETTER or MAKE A LIST

What are you traveling for? Who are you visiting? What are you looking forward to? Write a letter to who you’re visiting and tell them how excited you are to see them. OR alternatively, make a list of all the things you’re excited to see, do, and eat! Keeping a positive mindset will not only help distract you from your current surroundings, but our minds are so incredibly powerful. Who knows if the excitement for your travels will take over your fear of flying! Fingers crossed!

So dear anxious flyer, I really hope this post helps you in some way. A handful of people messaged me on Instagram (further proof you’re not alone) asking about this topic specifically, so I figured it might help to share this with you. Happy Holidays and safe travels to you and yours! Xo

THIS MARKS TWO YEARS

TWO YEARS. Two years of finding myself. Two years of being pushed out of my comfort zone. Two years of going to places I never imagined I would. Two years of being anxious, nervous, scared, but happier than ever. Two years of meeting some of the coolest people (Shout out to Ben freakin’ Gibbard. Thanks for being so nice!). Two years of instafriendships. Two years worth of photos flooding my Instagram account, making me look way cooler than I actually am. Two years of making homes in hotel rooms. Two years of living out of my suitcase. Two years of not knowing where I’ll be tomorrow. Two years of waking up at 3am with a two hour call out for that first flight out to LA, smiling so much whilst greeting passengers that it’s made me a much happier “morning” person. Two years of a lot of coffee. Two years of feeling so freaking proud of be a part of something big.

I’m writing this the night before my second ever recurrent training, giving me my “license” to be a flight attendant for another year. To be honest with you, I’m feeling anxious. It feels like the night before the first day of school. I won’t know most of the people in the classroom and although I am excited to make new friends and see some of my lovely classmates again, I’m nervous!!! I was driving home from the gym earlier, shouting my emergency evacuation commands to myself to better prepare for the 8 hour day tomorrow. I’m trying hard to shake off these nerves. The funny thing is, I feel pretty dang confident. I am not worried about my exam. I am so passionate about my job and I think most people who know me will tell you that. I guess it’s just the nerves you get the night before a presentation at school. My inner introvert is like, “noooo!” But I know it’s going to be so good. It’ll be so great to have something to be proud of. Challenge accepted.

It’s crazy to think that just two years ago, I was heading into this completely blind and unaware of how much of my life was going to change. I remember asking HR if it was possible to change careers within the company if maybe two years in, I change my mind on flying and want to dabble in something else. As much as I appreciate the kind and thoughtful response to my question and I will forever keep an open mind to other opportunities, I am so grateful I found my niche. I’m that girl that is so cheerful at 3am because of my job. So cheerful, in fact, that someone once told me to tone it down. I tried not to take it personally and walked away, and I knew that the other 164 passengers appreciated a warm welcome at smile even though it was stupid o’clock. For awhile, I’ve been meaning to make a post about this job, to encourage those of you who are curious to give it a shot. Or maybe you have a friend who’s asked about it and you’re not sure what to say. Here are some reasons I think being a flight attendant is fly (hahaha!) and you should give it a try.

  1. The travel benefits are unbelievable
  2. You can essentially create your own schedule (eventually!)
  3. Work doesn’t feel like work
  4. You won’t need a gym membership
  5. You’ll always have a pair of to tights or pantyhose handy. And a comfy pair of black pumps!
  6. Spend less cash on gas
  7. Visiting friends or family out of state is “just” a plane ride away
  8. You could live anywhere in the world. ANYWHERE!
  9. It’s a foodie’s dream job (trust me, I would know)
  10. You’re forced to be easygoing and maintain a go with the flow mentality
  11. It’s the most spontaneous job you’ll ever have
  12. You don’t have to decide what to wear every morning
  13. It’s a good excuse to buy that lipstick you’ve been eyeing
  14. You meet the coolest people (unintentional networking!)
  15. You’ll learn so many life hacks you never knew existed (flight attendants are some of the most creative people you’ll ever meet)
  16. You’ll make friendships that last a lifetime
  17. You’ll gain full confidence in your CPR skills
  18. You’ll get over your fear of using airplane lavatories
  19. You can attend concerts and shows not coming to your town (and sometimes get paid to go to them, too!!)
  20. You’ll be everyone’s go-to travel buddy
  21. You’ll find any reason to get out of town
  22. You can work a second job to fulfill your other passions in life

This is just some of MANY reasons why this job is so epic. If you ever have any questions or want me to elaborate on any of these, please feel free to reach out to me! Share this post, spread the word. Airlines are always hiring. *Pro tip: do your research before you apply! Every company is a little different. Find one that stands out to you, whose core values are also important to you. *Pro tip 2: NEVER. GIVE. UP. If it doesn’t work out the first time around, give it some time and give it another try! Timing is everything and it might not have been your time, but being persistence is key.

For now, stay curious (and act on it). Sending lots of love and good vibes your way.
